Basset hound puppies 4 weeks

Here are the Pups at 4 weeks (August 10th 2011) They are growing like little weeds and have been doing wonderfully! I've been supplementing with formula and some dry puppy food soaked in formula and they also get to nurse 2 times a day (I still have to hold momma down to get a feeding in). They are happy little hounds and LOVE people. Every morning when the girls first wake up they want to go out and play with the puppies on the front lawn. They've gotten their legs under them and like to bound and roll around together tugging on each others growing ears. They will be dragging on the ground before we know it  : ) my favorite part. These pups will be ready to go September 4th and we are selling them for $300.00. I'm already having a hard time even thinking about letting them go : (

Basset hound puppies 2 weeks old

Here are the pups at 2 weeks old. We had a very sad day when they turned a week old. We had to leave over night for a show a couple hours away and had some family take over. Our female Dinky was not to pleased with us and neglected to take care of her puppies for the 24 hours we were gone. She ended up stepping on or smothering 2 of the males so we are left with 6 puppies now. She hasn't been wanting to nurse so I have to hold her down several times a day so they can eat.
